Finance Division

The Finance Division provides banking and short-term investment services for all state agencies and hundreds of Oregon local government entities, including cities, counties, schools and special districts. The division manages over 13 million financial transactions annually - including cash deposits, electronic fund transfers and check issuances - with over $120 billion flowing in and out of the division each year. The division provides an automated banking system to state agencies to help manage these activities. The division also administers the $8 billion Oregon Short Term Fund, a short-term investment vehicle for state agencies' and local governments' idle cash.

The Finance Division staffs the Short Term Fund Board on behalf of the State Treasurer. This board advises the Oregon Investment Council and the Oregon State Treasury in the management and investment of the Local Government Investment Pool.
