Keith Larson, Chair

Mr. Larson's experience in investment and finance stretches more than 25 years. He is currently the Vice President and Managing Director of Strategic Investments at Intel Corporation, where he has held various leadership roles involving strategic investments for more than ten years. He has served on boards of directors for government commissions, companies, and educational and charitable institutions. Mr. Larson has a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
Mr. Larson was appointed by Governor Kulongoski on August 20, 2007 and confirmed by the Oregon Senate on September 13, 2007.

Richard B. Solomon, Vice-Chair

Mr. Solomon has been a Certified Public Accountant for over 25 years, having served both international and national accountancy firms. He formed his own company in 1981, specializing in tax and business planning. He chaired the OIC from 2006 to 2008, and has served on many boards and commissions including the Oregon Lottery Commission, the Oregon State Bar's Professional Liability Fund, and Portland State University Foundation, where he has often assisted with restructuring investment policy. He is currently a member of the Oregon Jewish Federation Investment Committee, the American Land Institute Board, and the Planned Parenthood of Columbia/Willamette Endowment/Investment Committee.
Mr. Solomon was appointed by Governor Kulongoski on August 12, 2004 and confirmed by the Oregon Senate on November 18, 2004. He was reappointed by Governor Kulongoski on December 12, 2005 and confirmed on April 6, 2006.

Katherine J. Durant

Ms. Durant has worked in real estate investment for more than 20 years, and has served on both the Oregon Growth Account Board and the Oregon Investment Fund board, in addition to her service to the OIC. She is currently the Managing Partner at Atlas Investments, a real estate development and holding company in Portland, Oregon, specializing in retail and industrial properties. She has a B.S. in Business Administration from Pepperdine University, and a M.B.A. in Finance from Willamette University.
Ms. Durant was first appointed to the OIC by Governor Kulongoski on May 12, 2005 and confirmed by the Senate on June 1, 2005. She was reappointed by Governor Kulongoski on November 9, 2006 and confirmed on November 30, 2006.

Harry Demorest

Mr. Demorest has decades of experience in business and finance. He is currently the Board Secretary of Columbia Forest Products (Portland, Oregon); he was the company's CEO for more then 10 years until he retired in 2007. He also served as Office Managing Partner at Arthur Andersen and Co. (Portland, Oregon), from 1981 to 1991. Mr. Demorest has served on the boards of directors of many civic and charitable organizations, including the Portland Development Commission (chair), OMSI (chair), the City Club of Portland (president), the Oregon Symphony Orchestra (Vice President of Board), the Oregon State University Business Advisory Council (chair), and many others. Mr. Demorest has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Oregon State University and a M.S. in Industrial Administration from Purdue University.
Mr. Demorest was appointed to the OIC by Governor Kulongoski on December 12, 2005, and confirmed by the Oregon Senate on January 19, 2006.

Ted Wheeler (by position)

Ted Wheeler is currently the Treasurer of the State of Oregon, having taken office on March 11, 2010. Treasurer Wheeler previously served as the elected chairman of Multnomah County. Prior to his government service, Treasurer Wheeler worked in the financial services industry was a senior manager of an investment firm. He earned a BA degree in Economics from Stanford University, an MBA from Columbia University and a Masters in Public Policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
The State Treasurer is a voting member of the OIC per ORS 293.706(4).

Paul Cleary (by position)
Director, Public Employees Retirement System
(Ex officio member)

Mr. Cleary has served as the Executive Director of the Public Employees Retirement System since June of 2004. He is responsible for administration of the statewide retirement system serving more than 345,000 members, retirees and beneficiaries. Before joining PERS, Mr. Cleary helped steward state resources as Director of the Oregon Water Resources Department and Director of the Oregon Department of State Lands, as Deputy Director of the Wyoming Sate Land and Farm Loan Office, and as natural resource advisor to the Wyoming Governor's office. Mr. Cleary has a B.S. from Trinity College in Hartford, Conn., and a M.S. from the University of Wyoming.
The Director of the Public Employees Retirement System is an ex-officio member of the OIC with no voting power, per ORS 293.706(5).
